1.) Can the Caplio R3/R30 be integrated into the operating system as a mass memory drive?

Yes, simply go to the camera Setup menu and select "Memory".

2.) Can I use AAA batteries besides the DB 60 rechargeable battery?

No, the R3 and R30 can only be operated using the DB 60 rechargeable battery.

3.) What is vibration correction used for?

Vibration correction is especially helpful for long focal ranges.

4.) Does the R30 feature a vibration correction function?

No.

5.) Approximately how many pictures can I take with the DB 60?

You can take 250 pictures on average.

6.) What video modes can I choose ?

You can set a 320x240 or 160x120 resolution with either 15 or 30 images per second. The video format is AVI (Open Motion JPEG).

7.) Does the Caplio R3/R30 have a remote-control release ?

Yes, it is compatible with the Ricoh CA-1 cable release.
