(1) after completing the update of one combination (a camera unit and the GXR body), (2) exchange the camera unit and then (3) follow the update procedure again. For the details, see the update instructions below. [NOTE] The appropriate files will be identified for the combination of the GXR body and attached camera unit before update. Version 1.18 (2010. 07. 15) No. Model applied Details A12 S10 P10 Modified the following phenomena. 1 In case of attaching the cable switch (CA-1), when half-pressing the shutter release button of the CA-1, it may turn off the camera. 2 -- -- Macro AF Distance Limit option (On) may be disabled (Off) in some conditions like; replacing a camera unit from the A12 to the other one. 3 -- -- Even if a shutter speed is changed, the aperture value will not vary in case of the conditions below; S mode, AE locked. 4 -- -- Noise sound may be recorded into movies when the electrical viewfinder (VF-2) is attached. Revised or corrected the following. 5 Revised the ISO sensitivity range conditions when shooting with the combination below; S mode, Shutter speed Auto Shift On, and ISO Auto/ISO Auto-Hi. 6 -- -- Corrected the display of focus distance as 19mm when the conversion lens (DW-6) is attached. 7 -- -- Revised the upper limit of the ISO sensitivity range as ISO 3200 when shooting in S mode. Version 1.17 (2010. 05. 19) No. Model applied Details A12 S10 Add the following enhanced features. The detailed information is available in a PDF document. 1 [New Noise Reduction Option : MAX] The MAX option has been added to the [Noise Reduction] in the Shooting menu. 2 [Noise Reduction in Nightscape/Landscape in the SCENE modes] The [Noise Reduction] options become selectable in Nightscape or in Landscape in the SCENE mode. 3 [New feature : ADJ. Direct ISO Control] The [ADJ. Direct ISO Control] option is added in Key Customer Options. When the camera is ready to shoot and this option is [On], ISO sensitivity can be changed by turning the ADJ. lever. 4 [New White Balance Options : Incandescent 1 and 2] Originally there was one option for incandescent light in White Balance, but [Incandescent 1] and [Incandescent 2] become available. [Incandescent 2] will result with slightly warmer than [Incandescent 1]. The original [Incandescent] is replaced by [Incandescent 2]. 5 [New feature : Shutter speed Auto Shift] When the [Shutter Speed Auto Shift] is set to [On] in the S mode, the camera will automatically adjust shutter speed for optimal exposure in the case that the selected shutter speed by the user will result for over exposure or under exposure. 6 [Up-down Dial operations] Up-down Dial can also be used for selection of Flash modes or self-timer options. 7 -- Added [Zoom position] in Edit My Settings. [Zoom Position] can be registered/edited in My Settings when the RICOH LENS S10 is used. 8 -- [New feature : Macro AF Distance Limit] [Macro AF Distance Limit] option is added in the Shooting menu. When this option is [On], the following can be selectable each time by pressing the Macro button; [Macro On 10 - 30 cm], [Macro On 7 - 10 cm], or [Macro Off]. This option limits the distance that can be focused in AF, and it will make auto focus quickly. 9 -- High-speed movement of the Focus Ring While pressing down the Macro button in the MF, the Focus Ring movement will become faster. 10 Camera unit info. in Exif information The camera unit information is stored into the Exif information and [A12], [S10], or [P10] is displayed at playback (Detailed Information Display). 11 Added [Firmware Version] in the Setup menu The information on the firmware version is available from the Setup menu. Modified the following phenomena. 1 The AF may not work well rarely after the Pre-AF setting changes to [Off]. 2 -- (S10 camera unit) In manual [M] mode when the focus is set to [Snap] or [8 Infinity], the zoom bar remains on the display. Now (with this update) the focus bar is on the display and when pressing the zoom lever the zoom bar will appear. Version 1.07 (2010. 03. 18) No. Model applied Details A12 S10 1 -- In the Setup menu, AF speed options become available (GR LENS A12 50mm only). - You can choose between QK-AF or FR-AF. [QK-AF] : AF speed will be faster than [FR-AF]. During the focusing period the image on the LCD will be fixed and will not follow the movement of the camera. [FR-AF] : AF speed will be slower than [QK-AF]. The image on the LCD will follow the movement of the camera. AF speed is the same as firmware version 1.06. Note!! While using digital zoom or AF target shift, the camera will default to [FR-AF], even if the camera was set to [QK-AF]. For operations, see the supplemental PDF in Manual download site from here. 2 Modified that the configured value for sharpness is correctly reflected to Exif header information. 3 Improved exposure accuracy at AE lock. 4 -- Improved white balance at shooting in a dark place with the P mode. 5 -- Improved focus accuracy at Auto macro. 6 Corrected the phenomenon below. - In RAW mode in Picture Quality, if you take a picture with long time exposure, recorded image may be corrupted. 7 -- Improved focus accuracy at Full Press Snap.
