| Images captured from a wide-angle lens are
expansive, requiring the CCD to handle greater amounts of information.
To process the information rapidly, the Caplio R1V incorporates Ricoh's
Smooth Imaging Engine image processing system, which features 12-bit
image processing and filtering processing to produce images with natural
gradation and very low noise. Our color management software matches
the CCD's spectral sensitivity, optimizing color reproduction. For
natural images with true colors, the Caplio R1V simply is more advanced. |

You get high performance using less energy
with the Caplio R1V. Using the camera's rechargeable battery, you
can take about 490 pictures* between charges. AA alkaline
batteries, which offer a great back-up plan when you're on vacation
or working, give you around 200 shots*. Plus, you can run
the camera from its AC adaptor. So, altogether the Caplio R1V offers
three easy and efficient power-up options. To conserve battery power,
the synchro monitor mode automatically switches off the LCD display
when the camera is not in operation. The LCD display powers up again
when you push the shutter button half down. The Caplio R1V -the digital
camera you can relax with.
