Feature1: 7.1x Optical wide-angle zoom

The joy of capturing beauty in your own way.
In the briefest encounter with a fleeting subject, capture the beauty with precision and clarity.
For every photographic situation, the RICOH R10 has both
high resolution and the ease-of-use to put it at anyone's full command.

28-200 mm 7.1x optical zoom lens in a slim compact body

Ricoh's original Double Retracting Lens System has made it possible to fit a high magnification 7.1x optical wide-angle zoom lens in a slim compact body. This lens can realize your creative intentions in a wide range of scenes, from wide-angle emphasis on image breadth and depth to the telephoto's ability to pull the subject up close and prominent. To go beyond the 7.1x optical zoom (200 mm), use the auto resize zoom for powerful telephoto shooting up to 40.7x (equivalent of 1140 mm)*.

* VGA image size (640 x 480 pixel recorded image).

Making good use of the emphasis on image breadth and depth created by 28 mm wide-angle shooting, you can enjoy recreating the atmosphere of the scene before your eyes.

The ability of the 200 mm telephoto to pull the subject up close and prominent will enable you to catch clear and sharp expressions in a portrait shot.

Step zoom and auto resize zoom

The step zoom function enables you to fix the optical zoom focal length at seven steps (28 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm, 85 mm, 105 mm, 135 mm, and 200 mm equivalent). For a zoom range beyond the 7.1x optical zoom (200 mm), the auto resize zoom takes you to a maximum of 40.7x (1,140 mm equivalent)* in five steps (recorded image resized to 8M, 5M, 3M, 1M, VGA). From the wide zoom range available, you can easily select the zoom position best for the shot you want to take.
