Continuous Photography
you shoot, enabling you to take photographs at 1-second intervals. This
feature is the default setting for the RDC-5300, so you can just pick
up your camera and start shooting away.
Auto Exposure Bracketing
The Auto Exposure Bracketing Mode allows you to take the same shot at
three exposure settings. With a single release of the shutter, your
shot is captured 3 times, once at the set exposure and again at +0.5EV
and -0.5EV exposure settings.

Universal Serial Bus (USB) Connections
The USB cable connection enables high-speed data transfer between the
RDC-5300 and your computer running Windows98 or Macintosh OS 8.5 or
greater (iMac and Power Macintosh G3).* You can also use this feature
to turn the camera into a removable drive for the temporary transfer
of large volumes of data or use it as a SmartMedia card drive. Data
transfer speedswithUSBconnections are significantly faster than with
serial connections. For details, please refer to the chart below.

8MB On-board RAM/SmartMedia Cards
Image processing time is minimized with the RDC-5300's powerful 8MB of
internal RAM. In addition, 64 MB SmartMedia cards can easily handle large
images, or store a whole series of smaller snapshots
Real-time Display with Protective Monitor
Cover
Even if you move the camera while taking a shot, the LCD monitor will
display a crisp, clear image with no blurring. The lens cover and monitor
cover of the RDC-5300 can be operated independently, so even while taking
photographs, you can leave the monitor cover closed to protect the display
from fingerprints and other damage.
Secure Palm Grip
The grip on the RDC-5300 is designed to fit snugly into your right hand,
enabling you to hold the camera securely and steadily. This minimizes
camera movements that might cause blurred shots.
Autofocus; Manual Focus
The RDC-5300's autofocus ensures your images are clearly focused every
time, leaving you free to concentrate on the composition of your shot.
If you prefer, switch to manual focus and you have total freedom to
adjust the focus.
Exposure Compensation
The RDC-5300 makes it easy to photograph subjects in strong lighting
with automatic back lighting compensation. You can also manually adjust
the exposure in 0.5 EV steps for an EV range of +2.0 to -2.0.
Built-in Flash and External Flash Mount
The RDC-5300's built in flash uses Ricoh's latest flash technology to
ensure you get the best possible shot every time. You can choose from
Auto Flash, Slow Synchro, Red-eye Reduction and Flash Off modes, or
attach an external flash unit. With the RDC-5300, you have the freedom
to control the exact lighting for your shot.
